New Song and Animated Video

I give you “Labyrinth.” (Yes, of course titled after the David Bowie/ Jim Henson / Jennifer Connely movie I grew up watching on a daily basis.) Excited to finally share this song, the first in a new batch from recent years, recorded and produced by Charlie Klarsfeld. When I started this animation in 2020, deciding to explore the continuing adventures of the Dopo Yume bunny boy, I hadn’t yet realized I was also exploring the origins of Dopo Yume in the short documentary, so as far as I know, the timing of these two things is a coincidence, having not consciously planned for this video to arrive just as the dopoyumentary was making the festival rounds. But subconsciously, who knows? I do know, the song lyrics are partly about retracing your steps, trying to figure out when you took a wrong turn, and how to navigate this maze we find ourselves in…
